MOCB/CBMG GRADUATE STUDENT ASSOCIATION (GSA)
Together with the campus' Graduate Student Government, MOCB/CBMG GSA is the graduate students’ voice to the faculty and staff regarding graduate student life. Through its activities, GSA develops leadership skills, communication skills, and encourages collaboration and an awareness of social responsibilities of students and scientists. GSA events include:
- Speakers from academia and industry to support student career development
- GSA’s Practice Pub: a monthly seminar series giving graduate students an opportunity to share their research in an informal setting with only other students
- GSA also promotes graduate student-faculty camaraderie via such events as barbeques and softball games
